My Story

Our Dad was sadly diagnosed with bladder cancer in April 2025.  He had a major fall in July 2025 and was in Aintree Hospital for 3 weeks where he made a good recovery.  

Dad was then admitted again at the Royal Liverpool Hospital from mid December 2025 until he sadly passed away on Tuesday, 14th April 2026 in Ward 8D.

The treatment Dad received from every single person who looked after him was second to none and the ward was exceptionally respectful and gave Dad the dignity he deserved during his final hours. 

Dad was very grateful to everyone and he always said how well he was being looked after - Dad was extremely popular and well loved on that ward by the staff so much so that plenty of tears were shed at his passing. 

We miss Dad very much.  Until mid December Dad was a very independent 92 year old.  

As a thank you, and knowing Dad would agree, we would like any donations made to the Royal Liverpool Hospital Charity in Dad's memory.
